This is only noticeable if you happen to look for it, and is very minor overall. It works perfectly, so there is no need for anything further to be done. ![]() The thumb key is fully functional now and has a secure screw, and the deeper slot has no effect whatsoever on the mechanical quality or playability. There is one very minor aesthetic "blemish" to mention so that there are no surprises to the future owner: At some point in it's history, someone cut too deep of a slot in order to remove the screw on the thumb post. There are a few light scuffs/nicks and scratches here and there that can be seen when it's turned in various angles in good lighting. ![]() It is clean, has all new pads, and is very nice for a flute that's over 75 years old!įor it's age, it is in excellent used condition, showing the expected light-moderate wear from use over time (photos coming soon). ![]() Most recently it has been owned and completely refurbished/overhauled by one of my trusted repair techs. It's journey through time is a mystery from then until just a few years ago, when It was found and bought by someone in France. This beautiful vintage handmade professional flute was made in 1935.
